1. The Four Classic Shapes

If you are new to our Cloud Knitwear, the shapes can seem similar at first glance. But each one has its own line, its own drape, and its own quiet way of flattering the body.

This guide introduces the four classics we return to every season. Two necklines in two weights, forming the foundation of the Cloud collection.

Think of them as the building blocks of an easy wardrobe. Shapes that work on many bodies, layer well, and feel effortless to choose.

Cloud One vs Cloud Two: A Quick Note on Weight

Before looking at the shapes, it helps to understand the two yarns.

Cloud One is our finer single ply knit.

Light, airy, soft to the touch, and designed to drape gently. It is the knit you reach for when you want comfort without bulk.

Cloud Two is the fuller two ply version.

Still soft and breathable, but with a little more substance. It holds shape beautifully and feels cosy without being heavy.

Each of the classic shapes is offered in both weights, so you can choose the feel that suits you best.

The Four Classic Shapes

1. Cloud One Slash Neck

Light, fine, and subtly elegant.

The slash neckline sits slightly wider across the collarbone and creates a soft horizontal line. In the lighter Cloud One yarn, this shape has a relaxed and refined feel. It drapes rather than clings and works well both on its own and under jackets.

This shape suits anyone who likes an open neckline without the depth of a V. The lightness of the knit keeps the overall silhouette neat and understated.

Best for: layering with coats or wearing as a simple, easy top with trousers or denim.

2. Cloud One V Neck

Lightweight and elongating.

The V neck is the most classic shape in Cloud One. The finer knit creates a delicate line that opens the neckline without adding structure or weight. It has a natural lengthening effect, drawing the eye downward for a clean and flattering silhouette.

In this lighter version, the shape feels effortless. Soft enough to wear on its own and polished enough to layer under tailoring.

Best for: anyone who prefers a sleeker line or a little more definition at the neckline.

---

3. Cloud Two Slash Neck

The same elegant neckline, with more presence.

In Cloud Two, the slash neck becomes a more sculpted shape. The fuller knit gives it gentle structure that makes it ideal as a standalone piece. It still opens the collarbone area, but the extra weight creates a drape that feels cosy and confident.

The result is a knit that works well with simple bottoms such as slim trousers or straight jeans because the neckline provides enough interest on its own.

Best for: cooler days when you want warmth without bulk.

4. Cloud Two V Neck

Defined, versatile, and universally flattering.

The Cloud Two V neck is the most adaptable of all four shapes. The neckline stays clean and elongating, while the heavier yarn adds depth and texture. It gives you the comfort of a fuller knit with the clarity of a structured V.

This is often the piece customers reach for most. Easy to style, easy to dress up or down, and always comfortable.

Best for: everyday wear, layering under coats, and anyone who likes a little shape around the neckline.

How to Choose Your Classic Shape

If you are new to Cloud Knitwear, start here:

Choose Cloud One if you want something light, fine, and easy to layer.

Choose Cloud Two if you prefer a warmer knit with a little more structure.

Then pick your neckline:

V neck if you like a lengthening line and a sharper silhouette.

Slash neck if you prefer a softer, more open look around the collarbone.

Many customers eventually choose one of each. A light V for everyday wear and a fuller slash neck for cooler days, or the other way around.

Why These Four Matter

These four shapes are the foundation of the entire Cloud collection.

Almost every other silhouette we design begins with the line, drape, and proportion of these classics. They are the most timeless and the easiest to build a wardrobe around.

If you are starting your Cloud Knitwear collection or looking to understand our fits, this is where everything begins.
